Riyadh: ISF felicitates COVID warriors for their selfless work during pandemic

Riyadh, Nov 1: The ongoing pandemic has brought forward the bravest and the kindest. Appreciating exemplary service during the testing times of a pandemic, Indian Social Forum Riyadh Central Committee held an award and felicitation programme for its members who were on the forefront serving the people amid the difficult times of COVID-19 pandemic.

The felicitation program was held on October 30, Friday at Ramada Hotel, Riyadh at 8:30 pm. Haris Managaluru, president – Indian Social Form Riyadh central Committee presided the program. Speaking on this occasion he put light on the situation faced by the people during pandemic and how Indian Social Forum responded to them. He explained about various teams which were set up by the Forum to serve the people and community during tough times. He appreciated the dedication of Indian Social Forum volunteers who stood up in these situations to help the deprived by risking their own life. He asked the volunteers to continue their good works and be an asset to the community and diaspora. A short presentation on Indian Social Forum Riyadh and its activities during COVID-19 pandemic was presented by Mihaf Sultan, member Indian Social Forum, Riyadh.

Speaking on this occasion, Basheer Ingapuzha - Regional president India Fraternity Forum cherished commitment showed by the members of Indian Social Forum. There were many doctors as guests in this event who were on the frontline during the COVID-19 pandemic. Mementos were presented to these doctors for their selfless service during the pandemic. It was distributed by Basheer Ingapuzha - Regional president, India Fraternity Forum. Certificates and mementos were presented to the members who were also warriors during COVID-19 pandemic, it was distributed to warriors by the guests who were present at dais.

Dr K M Noorul Zaman MD MPH MBA, Dr Abdul MoinBeary ( CEO Durat Lamar Medical Center Azizia), Naqi Ahmed Nadwi ( Al Maaden Co) Dr Abdulaziz Subair Kunju (Ministry of National Guard Heath Affairs) Shahil Siddique (AbsalPoul Co. QC Engineer) Bihar, Junaid Ismail Ibrahim (MGA Riyadh Zonal President) were the chief guest for the event who also honored the warriors with certificates and mementos. Basheer Karanthur (General Secretary, Indian Social Forum Riyadh Central Committee) welcomed the Gathering. Ehsanul Haque (President, Indian Social Forum Northern State Riyadh) proposed vote of thanks and Fathruddin Tamil Nadu was master of ceremony.
