Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Apr 21: It is learnt that the intelligence agencies have sounded a warning that the terrorists are likely use the sea route to target the southern coast of the country. Accordingly, the vigil across the coast in Karnataka and Kerala states has been tightened.

The intelligence inputs have told the governments that the chances of the terrorists using the coast of Kasargod or Kannur districts in Kerala to sneak into the country are more. Accordingly, the Coast Guard, police, ports as well as fisheries departments, and the Coastal Security Force have started keeping a keen watch on the activities at the coast.

The warning issued by the intelligence additional director general of police of Kerala has said that the terrorists are likely to make an attempt by Wednesday evening, to gain entry into the states.  As such, in addition to the fibre boats of the policemen that are already on patrol duty, boats from private companies have been hired, and the policemen have been provided with modern weapons to face any exigencies, it is learnt.

The security forces in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada districts have been kept in readiness and mega industries have been asked to beef up security. All the police stations on the coast have been kept on high alert.

Terrorist or Naxal both are two sides of the same coin their purpose is killing people who never done any harm to them. Religion is a protection they seek for their heinous acts. Destroying a building or killing Police deployed by government for law and order purpose doesnot bring them any credit, they are part and parcel of an administration. No one can create a new world by holding lethal arms. This world is too big for any single person to win. All are equally rewarded to protect themselves. What they get coming to the west coast of India or Delhi? At one time they could create havoc but now they can't do anything than run away from the place due to lack of water, electricity and very hot weather. Are they coming for picnic? Here people are busy with their own work and have no time to cry for terrorist or naxal. Only those work and earn living are rewarded. Those who snatch others bread have to find place in Somalia or some other African backword country where cannibalism is in practise and have to be prey to them. It will be more useful to observe these kinds from above with microscopes than hunt for them. The loss of so many security personnel is great. It is not ideal to risk any life for the sake of this kind of head less creatures. They should be answered with their kind of measures only and nothing else. Without local help no one can move around here. After all there is nothing so attractive as to come from abroad and create nuisance over here. They look funny on TV.

    Mr Kishore/Dubai,

No body is born terrorist or naxal. Circumstances make him a thief, drunkard, terrorist. I dont sympathise with the terorists nor do I support them. But here I have stated the reasons for terrorism. Truth is always bitter. Please note that if you dont treat your children equally, I am sure one of them who is most abused will revolt against you and shall become a nuissance throughout your life. For you people, if my aritcle doesnt appease, you call it communual or preachings. Thats your perspective. Lets call spade a spade.

Truth is bitter my friend. In UAE where you are based, if you are ill treated based on your faith how would you feel. Man has born in to one religion by chance and not by choice. You cant hate me as happen to be a muslim and I cant hate you as you happen to be a hindu. We both are human beings practicing different ideologies. Thats our freedom. If the very fundamental freedom is hijacked and if fundamentalism is pressed upon, then coup has to take place.

Peoples voice cant be suppressed. Any government that comes into power should seek the welfare of all its citizens and not that of a particular community. Alienation breeds alienation, hate breeds hate, enemity breeds enemity. Thats why I called upon all to preach and practice love, understand each others feelings, respect each other. Peace and love can bring in prosperity and hate can only bring destruction. Choice is your my friend. God has given us wisdom to think.

    Dear readers,

The act of terrorism must be condemned and no one has the right to kill innocent souls. There are political terrorism, naxalism, communual terrorism - all are nothing but killing others and spreading panic to achieve a goal. But goal is far from achieving, it destroys much. All terrorists have sympathisers and their reasoning appeals the sympathisers and they get logistic and financial support to carry out these terror attacks. The intensity of terrorism has increased post 1992. Political parties need to take much repsonsibility in increase of such terror attack. Malicious propaganda against a community, miusue of laws like TADA/POTA, arresting innocents belonging to particular community, bias, hate, bombing their places of worships, inciting religious sentiments, beating up muslim youths in the name of cow slaughter, political speeches filled with hate and venom, unlawful support to terror organisations by the state, attacks on places of worships, attack on muslim womens right to wear burkhas all causes, misreperesented appeals the sympathisers who are ignorant and support these terrorists like naxals are getting support from the sympathisers. The govt should treat all its citizens equallty without fear or favour. Justice should be applicable in equal measures. Freedom of faith should be guaranteed, no churches or masjids to be attacked for whatever reasons. When one feels insecure and feels injustice is being done to them takes up law in his hands. Be just.

Well said George Cruz, Mangalore/USA. I dont agree with Shanawaz's kukkikatte comments. Terrorism which is also called jihad or the holy war is different from naxalism. I dont support both, for that matter I dont support violence and hatred. Terrorists or the so-called jihadis use their terror tactics against non-muslim nations mainly, but naxalism was not started on the basis of religon but poverty, social injustice, etc, but still I dont support naxalism. For your kind information Shahnawaz, Zakir Naik, the muslim scholar, in one of NDTV's debate told that he was not against Osama. How pathetic. People sympathizing terrorists just because of religion.Shame on these guys.

Dear Ashok for ever you seem to have a twisted mentality, where were you when India was ruled by the minorities. And even now you are in a minority country to earn your living, I f you so much concerned go back to place, strip yourself and start wearing leaves and feathers as clothes, you may run round trees if you wish, if you think if you are going attain salvation . It was BJP that started this trouble by demolishing the babri masjid, and in Mangalore attacking churches (remember that i am not a lover of churches) and now you cry wolf. Do you think the minorities should abandon their religion that has given them freedom from fear and join a religion of fear ”definitely not”

Mr.Ashok,This is nothing but conspiracies designed by the upper caste to create hatred against muslims & to tarnish the peaceful image of Coastal district muslims.

Brahmin dominated media in our districts is hell bent upon tarnishing the image of Muslims at any cost...throwing away the justice to the wind.

Here the comments of Ashok/Dubai is biased and targetted against muslim community. I agree with Ashok that most of the terrorists are made up of muslims. But added to it, what Mr Ashok has to say naxals who are after the blood of innocents, what religion do they follow? Act is same and but lables are different. A person like Ashok will never condemn naxal killings as his brothers and siters are invloved in the crime. Naxalism and terrorism are the products of one single cause - i.e. alienation, inequality, injustice, oppressionand hate. Please treat the cause and not the symptoms. Terrorism and naxalism cant be put down by military might. ONly external terrorism can be tackled with military. Unless and until the causes are not addressed, hate is not stopped, equality is not administered one cant stop terrorism. We need long lasting solution to the terrorism and not a temporary one. Govt should go after the terrorists and book them. Punishing one or two terrorist will not eliminate the terrorism. We need a comprehensive solution with cause. You address the cause, you will solve the terrorism.

I would agree to what Ashok said. There is a little fact in it, people in that region will know it better though they don’t speak as all truth can’t be said loudly. Terrorist has no religion and it is done by all religion no doubt about it. But when it is about attack from costal and the particular area highlighted kasragod and kannur definitely there is no doubt there is many who 100% support pakisthan terrorism in the name of religion on those areas.

I wonder if police can even dare to enter some of the areas there!! How ever when some crooked mind work on it in the name of religion the majority of good people from the religion get hurt that’s something sad and perhaps the reason these truth are not revealed by public.

The Southern States and more particularly the coastal regions of Karnataka and Kerala have been rather peaceful except of course the attacks on minority religious Institutions. It is now a matter of concern that The Terrorists are targeting these regions.

It is good to see however that The Intelligence Department have discovered the plans of these unruly elements and that the coasts are being protected against any attacks.

Mr Ashok. I have seen your comments You are in Dubai A muslim country, Do you find any terrorist there? Why your comments are always biased? Why your comments always speak against muslims? Dont talk non sense. Terrorist dos not have any religion, nor associated with any religion. I would stretch upon the government to look on the all the politicians as they are involved in such attacks. Even After the so much security How did the bomb enter the premises? can you answer my question. When the police know that A large number of people are going to gather in Stadium. whey there was not a security check? looks Something fishy.
