Ex-Police Staff from Coastal District is ‘mastermind’ behind Bangalore Blasts

Bangalore, Apr 20 (DHNS):  A former Karnataka State Reserve Police (KSRP) employee has reportedly emerged as the mastermind behind the two blasts outside the M Chinnaswamy Stadium here on April 17.

The suspect is from a coastal district in the State, and his name is said to begin with “S.” He is learnt to have served in the bomb detection and disposal squad for sometime before taking voluntary retirement, highly placed sources, as reported in the leading national English daily news paper Deccan Herald.

Nearly a dozen people, most of them living within a radius of five kilometres of the stadium, were involved in the incident. Having already questioned nearly 70 people, the police are likely to regularise the arrest of the suspects within 24 hours.

The bombs were intended to create panic and trigger a stampede once they went off, added the sources. On the blast day, the police had gathered a vital lead based on CCTV footages. They conducted anti-sabotage and anti-missile checkups to ascertain the identity of those involved.

The blasts were, however, not directly linked to the Bangalore serial blasts in 2008.

All the suspects are expected to be booked, but whether they will be convicted is not clear. It has become a prestige issue for the State government as well as the Bangalore City police.

Many of the suspects were in their late 20s or early 30s. They had studied the route map of the stadium, taking their own time to execute the plan. It is also said that a few of them had watched some matches inside the venue to analyse the situation, added the sources.

    anamika, Mangalore..
there is a difference between terorists and criminals..
ajaml kasab afzal guru and riyaz bhatkal are islamist terorists..bcos their aim is to distroy people of other releigun to please their holy war and gods wish (as per them)and not any monitory benefits or any revenge.. ..thats y they called as islamist terorists..
if hindus do same thing then can call it as hinduist teroirsts.

thats y rashid malbari is know as underworld don not as islamist terrorist..bcso his aim is money not war on other releigun..
so under stand the difference between criminal and jihadi terorit.

if bombers aim is any other jsut to disturb ruling party or to change the venue or some other motives to gain popularity to congress then it cant be called as terororism..it is crime .but the depth of crime is similar.
and ofcouse govt is doing good job on this issue..and i m confident that they will definetly get syuitable punsihment even if he is from any releigun.

but ofcouse the punishment should be same.

It is a real shame that an Ex police officer is behind this bangalore Bomb Blast..It is more shame that he belongs to our Coastal District...

It shows to what extent they can go to blame a particular community. Some Local Kannada newspapaers has already credited this act to Bhatkal brothers.

But they are silent on this, not even ready to disclose the name!!!

Well sia Ms. Anamica.Every time, wherever in India if there is a blast, immediately they blame Islamic organizations. So it’s very easy for Non Islamic organizations to succeed in their goals. They create an email and keep some Arabic text near the blast areas and easily escape. Police department should change their prejudice and state of mind

    Dear Pastor Frank,
Father, Hats off to you. Your every word here carries enormous weight and you have rightly spoken. Yes we have only one life to live. The life is precious and No body, except the God has the right to take away the life. Even parents who give birth, feed have no right to take the life of their own children. Lets endure humanity. Lets all love each other. Let the love spread like the light of lamp, let the speed it takes be like that of tornado. Lets make this planet a beautiful place for living. A place full of love. Let the humanity prevail. Let the cruel perish. Lets all recoginse each other as human beings with same feelings. Lets all recognise each other as the creation of one God. Oh God help us in bridging the gap. Give us light and wisdom. Lead us to peace and prosperity... aameen.

The Chief Minister/Home Minister both should have resigned, it is a NATIONAL SHAME, a such a high profile event had been disrupted, where are the BJP Loyalist, are their hiding in the forest, no comments, if it was any other govt. people like Ravi Shankar Prasad would be sleeping in the TV, now nobody is talking and are saying the IPL should not have been moved, what a foolish statement, it was VERY GOOD, that the IPL was moved, the state police are the most incompetent, they only know to take bribe and harass people, this was a very serious security lapse, when looking at the way the bomb was planted it really looks as if the security in the state was sleeping, our sleepy home minister must resign
