Karkala, Apr 8: Moderate showers were sparsely witnessed in the interior regions of Mala, Bajagoli, Ajekar, Kukkundoor in the Taluk  in the afternoon, Thursday, April 8.

The unexpected showers caught motorists unaware causing mishaps en route Mangalore - Hospet state Highway 13, which passes through the interior regions across the Taluk.

Meanwhile, the welcome showers have brought temporary relief to people who were suffering from souring temperatures and unbearable heat.  Further, it is a wedding season, all those who have come to attend weddings and other auspicious occasions at temples, experienced the pleasant weather.
