UAE: Dhwani Prathishtana Silver Jubilee Awards for Noted Kannada Personalities

UAE, Apr 4: Dhwani Prathistana, UAE, an association which promotes art and literature, is celebrating its silver jubilee this year.
As part of this, the organization has decided to honour some eminent artists and writers in Kannada to mark their contributions to the field of art and literature.
Jayant Kaikini, Vishveshwara Bhat, Tara, and Shashidar Kote
Jayant Kaikini (literature), Vishveshwara Bhat (journalism), Tara (movie actress), and
Shashidar Kote (classical music), have been chosen for the ‘Belli Habba Prashasti’ (Silver Jubilee Award).
Speaking to the press, Prakash Rao Payyar, president, Dhwani Prathistana, informed that the awards will be presented on the occasion of Gulf Kannada Sahitya Sammelan to be held on Friday April 23 at Dubai GEM Private School Auditorium (opposite KMT Trading).
Entry to the day long Gulf Kannada Sahitya Sammelan 2010 is absolutely free for all and breakfast and lunch will be provided.
The silver jubilee celebration committee invited Kannadigas to participate in large numbers along with family, friends, and relatives to make this mega event an historical one.
