Dubai, Mar 28: Walter Monteiro has been elected as the president of 'Bethkati', an association of Belman parishioners residing in and around UAE.

This was announced on Friday March 26, 2010 during a family day-out organized for the members of the Association and their families. Anil Cardoza has been elected as the vice president of ‘Bethkati’, Aloysius D’Souza as secretary, and Pius D’cruz has been elected as its treasurer.

It was also decided to include the ex-presidents of the Association as the members of the working committee. They are Pius D’cruz, Vincent D’Mello, Arthur D’Souza and Jacob Lobo.

The others chosen to be the committee members are, Jason Dantis, Headley D’Mello, Roshan D’Silva, Ivan D’souza, Avinash Saldanha, Arun Cardoza, Amitha Menezes, Wilma D’souza and Anna D’cruz.

The family day-out event began at around 12.00 pm with a thanksgiving message from the outgoing president of St Joseph's Bethkati Group, Jacob Lobo.  He thanked everyone for taking part in the event, and requested the active participation of all the Belman parishioners, particularly the youth, in all the events that might be organized henceforth.

Various games and spot prizes were the highlights of the event. Uttam Menezes and Anil Prakash D’Souza conducted the event and kept the members fully entertained throughout the event.
