Mangaluru, Aug 26: Swasthika Poojary hails from Shakthinagar, Mangaluru. She has completed her MCom from Besant College. She is the daughter of Late Mahabala and Bharathi.

Swasthika has successfully completed two Kannada movies and will be soon seen as a participant in a reality show. However, due to the lockdown, she took a break from other projects.

Swasthika received a lot of fame on TikTok, in which one of her videos went viral on social media. She has also acted in Tulu movies Bollilu, Dagalbajilu in a supporting role.

Speaking to Daijiworld Swasthika said, "Before entering the industry I had no idea about the field of acting. I was never really interested in watching movies either. Further, my family were not really supportive of the idea of me taking acting as a profession. However, after I installed TikTok, I made a video which went viral on YouTube and all over Karnataka. That was one of the funniest moments of my life. Although after my video went viral, I ended up getting rather annoyed. I uninstalled the app and kept away from my followers."

"My upcoming movies where I play the lead role are 'Nishachara' written and directed by S Bhaskar, produced by Latha B R, music by Mohan Maja Talkies, and Smithesh. The second is ‘Kanasu Maratakkide’, directed by Smithesh Baarya. Many Coastalwood talents are present in this movie. ‘Comedy Khiladigalu’ fame Aneesh Poojary has written the dialogues. The film was shot in a 35-day schedule," she said.
