Bantwal: Taluk Sammelan of State Government Employees Association Held

MLA Ramanath Rai urged government employees to speed up work in their respective departments and also to respond to the grievances of the general public at the earliest. 
 
Rai was speaking after inaugurating the Taluk Sammelan of the State Government Employees Association which was held at Brahmashree Narayana Guru Auditorium, B C Road, on Saturday March 13. 


 
Mangalore MLA U T Khader said that the government employees serving within the framework of their duties can gain the people’s trust if they respond humanely to the grievances of the general public.

“If Dakshina Kannada (DK) district get its due significance, it’s mainly because of the sacrifice, perseverance, and hard work of department employees serving here in the DK”, he said.
 
BJP district president K Padmanabha Kottari said that better relations in society can be forged if government employees collectively join in social welfare activities.
 
Karnataka State Government Employees Association president G Narayan Belchapada presided over the programme.
 
Zilla panchayat president Santhosh Kumar Bhandary, state association chief secretary Range Gowda, treasurer Choudayya, organizing secretary Abdul Samad, district president H Sanjeev, district vice-president George Pinto, taluk panchayat president M Babu, town councilor B Yashodha, and Town Development Authority president A Govind Prabhu, were the chief guests on the occasion.
 
Taluk panchayat CEO Vasant Raj, and block education officer Sudhakar were present on the dais.
 
Teacher Jayanand Peraje and journalist Gopal Anchan presented their papers during the seminar held on Saturday afternoon.
 
The foundation stone was laid for constructing an auditorium on the second floor of Samudaya Bhavan and the association office was inaugurated. 
 
Government employees were felicitated for their distinguished achievements in their chosen fields.
 
Teacher Ramananda (organizing), Dr Vishweshwar V K (literature), Laxman (sports), Somashekar Mayya (music), Srivani (music), B Ganesh Rao (saxophone), Kashimat Eshwar Bhat (swimming), Tharanath G S (wrestling), Shankar V (sports), Rachayya Chowkimat (essay), and Koudle Ravindra Satha (music) were felicitated on the same occasion.
 
Taluk honorary president Durgaprasad M R delivered the introductory address.  Sammelan welcome committee honorary president C N Manjunath welcomed the gathering. 

Secretary R Nagesh proposed the vote of thanks and artiste H K Nayanadu compered the programme.
