  The Town Compound (T C) Friends in Beebi Alabi road, Bunder celebrated Prophet Mohammad’s birth anniversary on Thursday March 11 in a unique manner by organizing simple marriage for two couples apart from religious programmes.
 
The programme began with Mauleed presentation at Saiyed Khadersha Valuyullahi Darga with the blessings of Kazi of Mangalore Twaka Ahmed Musliyar at programme venue and khira-ath by Hafiz Muhammad Nausar.
 


Samshuddin from Bengre married Johra and Rahiman of Gurupur married Fathima Banu, in a simple ceremony without dowry. 
 
Twaka Ahmed Musliyar, Kazi of Mangalore, said in his speech that believers of almighty need to follow his words preached through Holy Quran. The works what we do is the way to get God’s blessings and hence we need get close to God by involving in activities that positively develop a society, he said.
 
`Even Mahatma Gandhiji dreamt of Utopia that is free of violence, discrimination and fear-free society as it is preached in the holy book. Creating Utopia is in our hands by practicing good, he said.
 
Chief guest D M Aslam, president of district football association, said that the friends club has organized a memorable and model programme that will serve as role model to youth. The programme highlights the simple marriage, which is to be followed by our youth as part of social justice to the poor families in the society, he added.

At the programme, T C Friends felicitated Twaka Ahmed Musliyar, the new Kazi of Mangalore, K S Mohammed Masood, former MLC, Mahammad Haneef, secretary of Muslim Central Committee, S M Rasheed, treasurer of Central Juma Masjid and Bhasha Tangal, trustee of Central Jumma Masjid.

Nikah and rituals of marriage performed under the leadership of Twaka Ahmed Musliyar. Maulanas and Ulemas including Ibrahim Darimi, Sali Ustad and others were also present.
 
Former mayor  K Ashraf, councillor from Ullal Abdul Azeez, Abdul Hameed, president of Asasul Islam Masjid and Abdul Samad, president of scrap vendors association, were chief guests. 
 
B Abdul Salam, president of T C Friends presided. Member Ibrahim Khaleel K P welcomed all and vice-president Yahya Tangal proposed the vote of thanks.
