Bunts Sangh Holds Annual Get-Together

The annual get-together of the metro-based Bunts Sangh was held at Bunts Bhavan, located at Bhandary Estate, Kurla (East), on Saturday February 27.
 
MP and Bollywood actor Jayaprada who was the chief guest, inaugurated the programme.
 
Mayor Shradda Jadav was the guest of honour on the occasion.
 
Bunts community veterans Shivaram G Shetty, lawyer L N S Shetty, Prabhakar L Shetty, Kaup Vishwanath Shetty, Santhoor Bhaskar Shetty (Belgaum), Sanjeev N Shetty, Hejamady Vittal Shetty, Chitha Jnanesh Shetty, and Dr Sangeetha S Shetty were felicitated by the dignitaries.
 
Speaking on the occasion Jadhav said that Bunts are known to be true to their words.  “The Bunts community has made its mark both in the metro and across the country and abroad.  It’s their virtue that no matter where they are, they promote the integral growth of their community and also contribute to the society at large.  Bunts are not only excelling in the hotel industry, they have acumen for diverse fields”, she added.

Bollywood actor Jayaprada said that she has high regard for Tulu–Kannadigas as she acted in Kannada movies with actors such as Dr Raj Kumar, Dr Vishnuvardan, Ambarish, and others.  She conveyed her best wishes for the future endeavours of Bunts Sangh.
 
Bunts Sangh president Aikala Harish Shetty, in his presidential address said that Bunts Sangh has been promoting unity in diversity and communal harmony.  “It has been committed to the social cause of uplifting the community in every sphere of life, through various welfare projects”, he added.
 
Sangh vice-president and chartered accountant Shankar B Shetty, joint secretary Harish Vasu Shetty, joint treasurer chartered accountant Satish Shetty, education and social welfare committee president Karnire Vishwanath Shetty, women’s wing president Asha M Hegde, and youth wing president Goutham S Shetty were present on the dais.
 
Earlier, Aikala Harish Shetty inaugurated the newly-built kitchen, air conditioned mini hall, and VIP gallery, which was set up at the Bunts Bhavan.
 
Aikala Harish Shetty welcomed the gathering.  Ashok Shetty Pakkala and Sannidi Harish Shetty compered the programme.
 
Variety cultural programmes were staged by regional committee members as part of the entertainment programme.

    Bunts Sangh has been promoting unity in diversity and communal harmony, its 100% true in Bombay and suburbs, Bunts are doing great service.
