Dance Drama ‘The Ras Lila’ to Enthrall UAE Audience on Mar 1

Dubai, Feb 28: Members of the AGG School of Dance and Performing Arts, Bangalore, are currently in Dubai to perform at the Global Village and will enthrall Kannadigas spread around Dubai on Monday March 1 at Sindhi Ceremonial Hall, Meena Bazar, BurDubai.

The show starts at 7.30 pm, and entry is free for all.

The troupe has just returned from Edinburgh after participating in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and their show ‘The Ras Lila’ was hosted at the Greenside at Royal Terrace, Leith Walk area. 

The theme of the dance drama is the sweet pastime activities of Lord Krishna, during his childhood and early adolescence. 







The dance academy is an initiative of A G G Education and Charitable Trust, Bangalore. Since its inception in 2007, the academy has been grooming talents and conducting shows in and around the Bangalore area.  

Dance director and managing trustee Dr Poornima Choradi is a trained dancer herself and has more than 15 years of experience in teaching different forms of dance.

Speaking to Daijiworld, Karnataka Sangha president C R Shetty said that the show has been arranged at short notice as troupe the arrived here to perform exclusively at Global Village, but due to poor weather they could not complete their performance at the venue. 

“Now here is an opportunity to watch the spectacular professional presentation of dance drama, all the way from Bangalore”, he said.
