Mangalore, Feb 23: It was the turn of excise minister Renukacharya to be stunned on his surprise visit to the infamous spot for illicit liquor, Adam Kudru near Jeppinamogaru on Tuesday February 23 as there was no trace of illicit manufacturing unit or liquor. Minister had to return empty-handed after what seemed as a jolly ride on a boat along the backwaters of Netravati river from Adam Kudru to Onti Kudru.

Minister Renukacharya who is on a day’s visit to district expressed a desire to conduct surprise raids into illicit liquor manufacturing units following which fellow party members of the district suggested the name Adam Kudru, which is notorious for units that manufacture illicit liquor. On the information, the minister headed to the island along with few officials from excise department only to be flabbergasted at the turn of events. Only concession it seemed the joy ride from Adam Kudru to Onti Kudru.

It is now suspected that the people involved in illicit liquor manufacture had got information about the minister’s visit beforehand and thus cleared up the mess before his arrival. However, locals at Adam Kudru informed that the activities of manufacturing illicit liquor have come down to a great extent due to the continuous raid by the officials of the excise department.

Moreover, the anti-social elements are fearful of persistently facing the court cases and moved away to take up other lawful professions.

In my opinion Mr. Renukacharya is one of the most efficient ministers in the state government today. He is also one of the most respected (mostly by women flocks) and honest person. Let the photos of the raid conducted by him be published in all the leading newspapers and media channels. Let his tribe grow.

Why are you guys commenting on that poor officer Mr Satish Kudroli. Just for your information, most athletes and sportspersons, tend to put on weight once their sporting careers are over. One glaring example is Farouk Engineer India's former wicket keeper. This is because after years of training and exercise, they stop exercising and the body expands. He has represented our state and won honours and therefore please show some respect and at least a little gratitude.

Minister's raid looks like masti tour as he did 3-4 months back in Hyderabad resort. He was low profile for quite some time due to Nurse's(Jaya Laximi)nursing! The raid is nothing but publicity stunt.

The boat expenses, flight tickets for the minister to Mangalore and the salary and perks to pot bellied officer comes from the labor class who pay tax on the liquor.
It sounds very insane to raid the Adam Kudru or what ever so called illegal breweries that started because of the heavy demand.
The excise department closed the arrack shops and made it tough for the labor class to have their important evening refreshing drink. The labor class cannot reach wine shops who sell the so called branded liquor in fancy packing. some of them look like apple juice packing.
The labor class is the top tax payer to the excise department by contributing almost 60% of their total income to alcohol.
The government should allow free flow of liquor supply so that there will be competition so there will be good quality liquor.

Hey on a lighter note - The minister should have checked the tummy of the inspecter behind him with a good beard. Looks like all the illicit liqour is hidden in his tummy? Have a thorough check with the stick !!

Minister-it isn't that easy as trying to shut nurse Jayalaxmi's mouth-to raid illicit brewers & to catch them. Commend Excise officials for the hardship they face & bravery they show in destroying & capturing illicit brewers.
