New Leaders Elected For Okkaligara Sangha

Mumbai, Feb 22: New leaders have been appointed for the Okkaliga Sangha Maharashtra at a function held in the office premises of Sri Adi Chunchanagiri Seva Samithi on Sunday February 22.

Lakshmi Narayan Gowda was elected as the head of youth division, Yogesh N Gowda as the head of sports committee and Jayaram Gowda as the head of cultural committee. 15 others joined as members of various committees.


The programme was organized under the guidance of Narayan R Gowda, president of Adi Chunchanagiri Seva Samithi. Hotelier Kariappa Gowda inaugurated the programme.

Kariappa Gowda called upon the youth to serve the society and be a responsible citizen. He lauded the efforts of Okkaligara Sangha for encouraging the youth.

The chief secretary of Okkaligara Sangha K Rajegowda briefed about the activities of the Sangha and said that it has played a vital role in creating close bond between Maharashtra and Karnataka.

Lakshmi Narayan Gowda welcomed the gathering and Yogesh N Gowda proposed the vote of thanks.Taranna Gowda, Prakash Rao, A Kempe Gowda, Singari Gowda, Dharme Gowda, B A Dodde Gowda, Devaraj Gowda, Kumara Swami, Tammaiah Gowda, Some Gowda, Madhu Gowda and Sathish Gowda among others were present on the occasion.
