Mumbai, Jan 29: Ganesh K Poojary, commandant of Seva Dal under metro-based Billavar Association was awarded gold medal by local committee president Devu Poojary, in recognition of his distinguished service to Seva Dal since the past many years, during the annual day celebrations of Dattatreya Durgambika temple here, recently. 
 

Billavar Association has celebrated its golden jubilee celebrations during 2007 and has over 25,000 members. A total of 17 local committees and 7 co-ordinating committees are functioning under the association. Seva Dal that is functioning under Billavar Association has been successful in maintaining discipline in various programmes across the metro.  
 
Meanwhile, Sri Jai Bhavani Shanishwar Seva Samiti president Prasad B Palan also felicitated Seva Dal commandant Ganesh K Poojary during the thirtieth annual day celebrations of Samiti, held recently. 
 
Seva Dal has so far bagged six gold medals and hundreds of silver medals.
