Mangalore: Fire in Car Accessories Shop at Falnir – Assets worth Rs 15 Lac Gutted

Mangalore, Jan 21: In a fire accident at a car accessories and spare parts shop, Car Décor in Falnir in the city, a loss of assets of approximate worth Rs 15 lac has been reported on Thursday January 21.



























The reason for the fire has been suspected to be electric short circuit. The employee who opened the shutters in the morning at 9.30 am while switching on the power noticed area in the shop engulfed in the smoke. Though firefighters reached the spot by 10.00 am, thickened smoke hindered their operations that ended at 11.30 am. 

Assets including spare parts and car accessories have partially been gutted down and an approximate loss of Rs 15 lac has been incurred, informed the owner Nagesh Hegde. More than 10 firefighters were involved in the operation.
