Udupi , Padubidri , Jan 13 (DHNS): Nagarjuna Company has not publicised any relevant documents concerning with its thermal power project in Nandikur as assured in the meet held to discuss the pros and cons of the project last month, informed Pejawar math seer Sri Vishweshatheretha Sripada. 

Speaking to the media persons here on Tuesday after going through the grievances of a victim named Bhageerathi Prabhu who has been allegedly assaulted by the Company Manager, the seer opined that the works should not affect the life of the people. “I will get in touch with the legal intricacies concerning the ongoing works, despite the fact that most of the disputes are in Court. The forcible evacuation of the land holders seems to be absurd. I will try my best to work in the interests of the sufferers, he added.








The company has failed to reveal any pertinent documents. Home Minister Dr V S Acharya and Ananth Kumar have assured to take care of the whole lot to avoid all sorts of environmental hassles. They have also guaranteed that all the evacuees will be fairly compensated. If they fail to do so, I will take further measures to avoid injustices. Besides a meet should be held to discuss the problems related to environment disasters that are about to occur with the commencement of the plant, he said.

Bhageerathi Prabhu, an elementary school teacher, has allegedly been severely assaulted by the Company Manager David D'Souza when she tried to resist the construction works of the ash pond. The ash pond is being constructed adjacent to her agricultural land. Once the pond is built, the entire surrounding agricultural lands will be affected. The walls of the compound will act as blockades to the flowing water. She accused that there is police backing for all the activities of the Company. They asked the Manager to file counter case against her when she went to register her grievance. The case related to her land is in the Court, she added.

Suneetha Prabhu, Margaret, Sandeep Kotian and others approached the seer seeking justice.

    Raj/Abu Dhabi, I feel very sorry for your knowledge. You are mixing up caste system and untouchability to Shia/Sunni conflict. Sunnis are not untouchables to Shias and vice versa. But shoodras are untoubles and Brahmins are Godly and holy. Even father is brahmin and mother is shoodra still they are Godly and if mother is brahmin and father is shoodra then he is untouchable. Can you explain this to me. In sunni and shia sects, there are marriages, but in the caste system, dalit cant dream about marrying a brahmin. Pls give the Daiji readers your explanation.

    Mr Shridhar/Bangalore. Thanx for your comments. Will these upper caste people treat dalits/SCs/STs equal to them? Will they try to abosih the caste system? Will they treat non brahmins at par with them? A million dollar question. I would appreciate your sincere reply .... Thanks my brother.

    I am also one of the affected victim by the above company"s dictatorship by using money power, political power(with the help of Home minister- Mr.V.S.Acharya)police power  and juditiciary power and money power.

    .If the pujaniya swamiji take serious action in this matter,we willo be the  happiest people. My land of  4.04 acres also illigally acquired by the nagarjuna by bribing some of the k.i.a.d.b officials and destroyed fully covered thick forest built by us in the above 4-04 acres for future generation by the help of police gundas. Inspite of the above my land's dispute admitted in supreme court

    Mr Shahnawaz, I am really surprised by reading your positive comments on swamiji. Bcos u r the same person who wrote negative comments on swamiji on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 for an incident related to place called Kaluvas, a village just three km from Bhiwani in Haryana. It's really very surprise.

    Nagarjuna Company will start its work because they are working as per law of the country.They are provided lawful permission and acquired land by paying off the value to the respcted land owners.All these activists who now woke up should concentrate on how to get more jobs for the locals before the aliens or people from out side state will come and work in Nagarjuna.

    Whilst I appreciate swamiji's efforts in helping the displaced in Nagarjuna Project, it would be more constructive and appreciable, if the swamiji sets the motion and take lead to abolish the caste system which is a social stigma. Even today in villages, lower caste people cant pass by the houses of upper caste people, cant go and pray in temples, has to eat what is left out by the upper caste people, when the blood group and anatomy of both the groups are same and there is no differene bewteen them when God created them.
