Christmas Crib is Centre of Attraction at Fujairah Church

by Melwyn Vaz - Fujairah

Fujairah, Dec 24: The faithful at the Mother of Perpetual Help Church, Fujairah are in a great spiritual mood in celebrating the Nativity of Jesus. The solemn Christmas eve mass will be celebrated both in the Church and in Dibba (the sub centre)

The church premise is all set to accommodate the faithful of the parish and from the other parishes.

The centre of attraction in the premise is a beautiful crib created with lot of efforts, ideas, patience and dedication.

Alfred D’Souza, well-known community leader is the mentor of this excellent piece of work. D’Souza hailing from Pakshikere, Mangalore has been doing the crib for the last ten years. The continuous water flow through the valleys, and the beautiful hills made using Plaster of Paris gives an added attraction to the crib.

Alfred D’Souza, an active member of the Parish council is well known among the parishioners. His active participation in the Church activities is fully supported by his wife Lydia who is a lay minister as well.

Alfred thanks his team of dedicated volunteers, especially Prakash Rodrigues, Ronald Pereira, Antony Dias, Gerald Fernandes, Cyril Monis, Dominic and Roy Veigas in particular whose innovative ideas have helped him in creating the beautiful cribs for the last ten years.
