The achievement of complete equality between the sex, is necessary to human progress and the smooth functioning of society. Inequality stops not only the advancement of women but the progress of human life itself. The continues refusal of equality to women is a shame to human dignity. Therefore we must see that the women will get all their rights. But it is not necessary to protest with groups, instead it can be achieved by educating both men and women.

Women deserve equal rights & dignity as men, and men should strive to provide equality to women. However, in the quest of women-empowerment, women must not go overboard and try to subjugate their male counterparts and must ensure that they do not end up imitating their male counterparts, as rightly stated by reader Mr. Amar Nathal. Males & Females are to progress hand-in-hand as per their respective roles and complement each other rather then compete with each other. That is how the society & country will progress optimumly.

It's really a very good initiative to mobilize and get organized for all Muslim Women at regional, state and national level. However, from my point of view, it would be more relevant and appropriate to focus on addressing the various social, emotional, psychological problems faced by the Women in the society rather than keep on using the Statement as " Women are not considered as equal to men". ( This statement most of the time miss interpreted and offending some time ) It's very much proved that, women are capable of taking up any exemplary role in all fields. Therefore, you have reached to a stage, where actions should be initiated and focus should be on addressing the problems/ issues one by one rather than continue to defend your stand. The effective actions will certainly reflect the capabilities of women power! I am sure no men in the society will Oppose any constructive social work by the women Community. Only humble request to all, please proceed with all projects for a noble Cause with in the Islamic guide line. Wish you all the best for women empowerment.

Good to see women talking about women's empowerment, instead of the all men congregation talking about it at an earlier conference in Kerala.

Congratulations and good start from the Muslim sisters. Wish you all good luck. Women as a mother, sister, daughter or wife are no way less than their men folks. However, fighting for equality in any community should not be against our great Indian family culture.

Men and women are equal in dignity but are not meant to imitate the rules and roles of each other. Trying to be equal is a sign of lacking ambition in life. Failure to respect each others role is to create disorder in the society. Equality yes in dignity but not imitation. Beware of imitation!
