Mangalore, Dec 9:
District police department by launching its website on Wednesday December 9 made itself accessible online, wherein the public will get information related to the department in detail and also facilitate online registration of complaints and receive feedback too.

District information officer K Rohini launched the website, www.dkpolice.org . This launch adds to the department’s success story to reach public in a more scientific and professional manner.

Explaining about various features of the website, superintendent of police Dr A Subrahmanyeshwar Rao said that the features such as the information on police stations, officers and also the daily crime incidents registered in various police stations in district will help public. The department has been using latest technologies to reach the public and detect the crime. The step is to ensure the public that the police are performing their duty professionally and more scientific manner, he said.

Dr Rao also informed that the department has launched Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) which will enable the public across the district register complaints by dialing 0824-2424204. Thereafter a complaint number too will be provided. A call made to register a complaint will automatically disconnect in a minute. Hence, one should register the complaint within this time frame which implies that it is not a great idea to register a complaint which needs urgent priority through the system. Moreover, IVRS complaints are checked only twice daily.

Assistant superintendent of police Amit Singh was also present.

THIS IS NEW NEW COSMATIC FOR FOR POLICE DEPARTMENT'S MAKE UP, POLICE IS THEMSELF MAKING CRIME, KILLING INNOCENT LAWYERS LIKE NAUSHAD KASHINGE, IN THIS CRIME TOP OFFICERS ARE PROTECTING THIER DEPARTMENT'S OFFICERS LIKE JAYANT SHETTY AND VENKATESH PRASANNA WHO IS DIRECTLY INVOLOVED IN LAWYERS MURDER. THEN WHY THIES ALL DRAMAAS LIKE ONLINE COMPLAINT. IN KARNATAK BJP IS RULING THE STATE AND THAT MEANS THIES 2 POLICE OFFICERS ARE MAKING CRIME. BUT ONE DAY ITS ENDING AND WE ALL MUST WAIT FOR THAT DAY.

The website is good and it looks interesting and may be people surprised and feel that police department has opened its doors to the general public to see what is cooking in the police stations and police departments. The purpose of the police is for maintaining law and order and to assist people to live a peaceful life. What we see in real life is that, people are hesitant to approach the police for many reasons. Even at the website there is no assurance that the police will keep the information at secret if someone complaints about an illegal activity in the vicinity. If one of the police officer reveals the name of the person who complained and then that person is in trouble.

Good Action finally by one of most feared! rather-civil people reluctant to contact for their apathy & their willingness to side with people with political & wealthy people in the past. We should not blame them as they are under the politicians control for everything. They are understaffed,over-burdened & ill-equipped to deal with todays criminals. I hope they will get the recommendations of many reforms suggested by commissions implemented very soon. It depends on the ruling political parties willingness to implement it. Along with this I prefer them to get honest feed-back regarding law & maintenance of peace also on their website. E.g., a provocative banner has been displayed by some organisations near Pump-well- which might lead to future flare up of communal tensions. Police would do well to remove these sort of provocative banners by any organsiations in future to preserve the peace of the district. Let these organsiations limit their activities inside the 4 walls of their buildings. I hope any saner person will agree with me.
