Mumbai, Dec 8: The annual feast of St Joseph’s parish, Mira Road, was held on Sunday December 6. A majority of parishioners of Mangalorean origin reside in St Joseph’s parish in the metro.
A Eucharistic procession was held ahead of the festal Holy Mass.
St Joseph’s parish priest Fr Dominic Vaz celebrated the festal Holy Mass alongwith assistant parish priest Fr Michael Moras, Fr Deepak Thomas, Fr Ivan R D’Souza, Fr John Pinto, Fr John D’Souza, and Fr Lawrence D’Cunha.
The parishioners attended the festal Holy Mass in large numbers.
The parish calendar of 2010 was released during the stage programme held after the Holy Mass.
Fr Vaz also honoured the chief sponsors Norbert and Violet Fernandes, and Norbert Noronha by presenting blessed candles on the occasion.
The stock of saris which was donated by the faithful as offerings to Mother Mary were auctioned off and the proceeds were added onto the Poor Parishioner’s Health and Education fund.
