JSKPPS Convenes Meeting In Support of Setting up of MSEZ in Undivided DK

Mumbai, Dec 6: The metro-based Jayasrikrishna Parisara Premi Samiti (JSKPPS), a NGO, had convened a meeting here on Saturday December 5, to arrive at a consensus to work towards the proposed Mangalore Special Economic Zone (MSEZ) in the undivided Dakshina Kannada (DK) district becoming a reality, as it would be set up at a cost of Rs 50,000 crore, contributing to the development of the undivided DK district, besides creating employment opportunities for about two lac local people. The meeting was held at Vallab Vidyalaya Sangeet auditorium, Sion (West) in the metro.

Sri Laxmivarateerta Swamiji of Shiroor Mutt, Udupi, initiated the meeting, by lighting the traditional lamp.



 
JSKPPS founder and president, Tonse Jayakrishna A Shetty, presided over the meeting.
 
MSEZ chief operating officer, A G Pai, and deputy PRO, Sanjeev T Karkera, explained the salient features, benefits deriving out of MSEZ and other issues on this occasion.
 
Former Mangalore city mayor, Diwakar, and MSEZ public relations officer, Ramachandra Bhandarkar, were also present.
 
The metro-based BSKB Association president, Dr Suresh S Rao, Billvara Association vice-president, V R Kotian, Mogaveera Chamber of Commerce and Industry executive president, Sanjeev Kanchan, Bunts Association president, Ashok D Shetty, Shafi Welfare Association president, B Mohiuddin Mundkoor, Bhandary Seva Sangh president, Balakrishna P Bhandary, Devadiga Sangh president, K K Mohandas, Kulal Sudharak Sangh president, P K Salian, Karnataka Vishwakarma Association president, Nitte Damodar Acharya, Ganiga Samaj Seva Sangh vice-president, Ramachandra Ganiga, Akhil Karnataka Jain Sangh president, B Muniraj Jain, Federation of Canara Catholic Association president, Norbert L Fernandes, Billava Jagruti Balaga vice-president, K Bhojaraj, JAVAB former presidents, Shankar T Shetty and N C Shetty, Mira– Dahanu Bunts president, Virar Shankar Shetty, entrepreneurs, Yermal Harish Shetty, D M Shetty and B R Rao, Maharastra Konkan Association president, Walter D’Souza, and others were present at the occasion.

    I wonder wherefrom the MSEZ gets water and power. Can anybody throw some light on this?
