Dubai, Dec 4: ‘SFX Kutam Mudarangadi-UAE’, a charity organization of parishioners of St Francis Xavier Church, Mudarangadi, living in the UAE, celebrated its seventh annual function on Friday December 4 from 11am to 5 pm at Durbar Hall of India Club.

The event featured lively entertainment, dances, and skits along with a grand lunch.  The event was an example of the organization’s talent, enthusiasm, and commitment.

The celebrations began with the patrons hymn by committee members. Canute Mathias, president of SFX Kutam, welcomed the gathering.

Secretary Saritha D’souza presented the report of activities in the past year. The main event of the annual day celebration was the official inauguration of the website www.sfxkutam.com dedicated to Mudarangadians.

The website was inaugurated by chief guest Walter Nandalike of Daijiworld and encouraged the people gathered to take the initiative and progress in any field. Dayan D’Souza of Daiji Dubai, who was the honorary guest, conveyed a strong message on how to maintain a good healthy Gulf life with commitment and help our immediate society.

Naveen Sequeira of maibhaas.com, who designed the website, was also felicitated.

Leena D’Souza was honoured for her service in the community and dedicated support through the years of SFX Kutam.

Sponsors of the annual festival and the website were felicitated by SFX Kutam committee members and former presidents.

A cultural team comprising of Asha Mathias and Leslie D’Souza organized the entertainment very well.

Children of SFX Kutam and their friends performed some scintillating dances to foot-tapping numbers.

Calida and group, Steve and group, Rean and group, Seema and group, Beanca and Lenita, and Gavin performed energetic and entertaining dances. Leslie D’Souza and James Mathias kept the audience in laughter with their skits and good acting.

In all, the entire event was clubbed with great fun and entertainment. DJ Joy kept the audience busy with his wonderful collection of music numbers. Lucky coupon draw was carried out and the winners were announced.

Anil Prakash D’Souza and Johnson D’Silva conducted the entire programme in a very systematic way and compered beautifully. Wonderful team games between two groups named ‘Saanthoor’ and ‘Yelloor’ were held and the former won the team prize.

All members and friends from Dubai, Sharjah, Abudhabi, Ajman, and other emirates attended and were part of this celebration making it a meaningful one.

The programme ended with Baila and James Mathias proposed the vote of thanks.
