Mangalore, Dec 3: The Brahmakalashotsav, Mahadeepotsava and the annual festival of Kankanady Garody in the city were held on Wednesday December 2. The new sanctum sanctorum of Brahmasri Narayanaguru, built at the Garody, was inaugurated by former union minister, B Janardan Poojary on this occasion.

B Devadas, president of Kudroli Venkatesha Shivabhakti Yoga Sangha, inaugurated the newly carved marble statue of Mahatma Gandhiji.


































Sri Brahmananda Saraswati Swamiji of Dharmastala Sri Gududev Mutt, delivering the benedictory speech at the religious meeting organized later, said that Brahmasri Narayanaguru had shown to the people that spirituality and leading a life that helps them to get liberation, can only bring fulfillment in their lives. At a time when Kerala was under the grip of exploiters, Sri Narayanaguru heralded a new era by teaching people to wriggle out of their bondage through spirituality.

Entrepreneur, U Bhojaraj, presided. A Sadanand Shetty, president, Sri Devi Education Trust, MLA, U T Khader, cine artiste, Sooryoday Perampally, and managing partner of M S Pai and Co, M Padmanabha Pai, participated as chief guests.

Garody managing trustee, B Damodar Nisarga, delivered introductory address. President of the Garody, K Chittaranjan was present.

Dinesh welcomed. Ganesh Amin Sankamar compered the programme.
