Daijiworld Media Network—Kuwait (CN)

Kuwait, Dec 2: United Mangaloreans Kuwait (UMK) won the hearts of the audience with their successful and entertaining Tulu play ‘Mange Malpodchi’ which was staged to generate funds for a charitable cause.

This dream of helping the underprivileged turned into reality recently during a ‘fun-filled evening’, UMK’s maiden venture, presented before a packed audience at the Indian Community Senior Girls School, Salmiya, Kuwait.

The event comprised of melodious songs, foot-tapping Bollywood dances, and the hilarious Tulu comedy drama.

As promised, after deducting unavoidable expenses, UMK was able to contribute a sum of Rs 4,14,000 to ‘Sneha Sadan’, the help and care center for PLHIV, situated in Gurpur, Mangalore, India.

The amount in the form of a draft was handed over to Fr Siby Augustine of Sneha

Sadan, by UMK members Purander, Victor Saldanha, and Manoj Poojary, recently.

Fr Joy George, director, Sneha Sadan, thanked and bestowed blessings on UMK and its generous supporters.

Agnel Saldanha, leader, UMK, and all members expressed their gratitude to all the generous sponsors, well-wishers, and the audience who whole-heartedly supported and encouraged UMK’s new faces, new talents, and new artistes, in the noble cause.
