Kuwiat : BELWAK Family Day - Pictures

Media Release

Kuwait, Nov 17: It was a pleasure excursion by members, families and friends of Belman Welfare Association Kuwait (BELWAK) on Friday, November 13 at the Mishref Garden, Kuwait. Year after year since 2004, BELWAK has consistently staged this calendar event with oneness of mind. This was an opportune moment to spend quality time together as well as a much needed relaxation after much hard work all through the year for the cause, ideals and motto that Belman Welfare Association Kuwait (BELWAK) unflinchingly commits itself to.

As usual and at every gathering, up was Celine Pinto leading the gathering in prayer and thanksgiving. President Tony D’Cruz was enthusiastic in his welcome address and wished one and all an enjoyable picnic.

Other form of entertainment and games for children and adults were organized by Cultural Secretary Jerome D’Souza and ably coordinated by Vimala D’Souza. Traditional village games such as; breaking the pot, breaking the coconut etc. were fun filled.

Soon it was time to enjoy the out-door meal as a family and indeed an essential to a picnic. Baby Rachelle D’Souza said the grace before meal. Delicious Mangalorean flavored Lunch and Sweet Vorn was served by Royal Plaza. The Mishref Garden was by and large an ideal place for a family picnic with plenty of space to run around, with space for little ones to scamper about. It was a day to convey a sense of freedom in being outdoors together and the simple pleasure of eating a family meal under the open sky.

Vice President Mr.Henry D’Mello thanked all the Committee Members, Donors, families and friends for their support. Prizes were distributed to the winners. Towards the close Housie Housie was conducted by Ex President Clifford D’Souza

It was a superb event to see through the picnic day with the staging of the exhilarating Tug of War. The two teams gave an equal fight. One was victorious and the other sporting in defeat. It was fun, real fun. Curious on-lookers were unmoved as they watched.

Well Wisher Francis Rodrigues, who is also an MC of repute at various church related events/programmes had this to say:

“This picnic was enlivening. Kudos to the organizing committee. I wish to be a part of your committee so as to help, plan and work for all future events BELWAK plans to stage. Well Done”.

The entire events on picnic day were well managed by Ex President Clifford D’Souza in conjunction with Jessie D’Cruz.

My family and friends really enjoyed the picnic and it was a day of fun and joy meeting the belwak family. We thank Vincent Andrade and Jessie for welcoming us as a part of your esteemed association. One word of advise for future events. Please make frequent announcements to keep the venue clean at all times as this action on the part of each individual present, will reflect in a positive way on the Belwak Association Committee. Thank you and look forward for more events in the future.
