See this sinister smile on the face of this minister. Reddys were against Shobha, the minister or Shobha, the mistress? Yeddy knows the answer. I think Yeddy has sacrificed only the minister and not mistress! But Reddys have got away with prized scalp. Leaving aside all issues of Shobha's alleged interferance in other departments or her virtual 'First Lady of Karnataka' status, what irked Reddys is that she was a woman.

Having worked in north Karnataka, specially in Bellary and neighbouring Raichur districts I know how men feel when they see a woman crossing threshold and venturing into what is perceived to be 'only-for-men' domain. This ideology which has its roots in Manu Smriti has been inherited by RSS and its offspring BJP. We all know how far a woman can grow in BJP. We all have seen what happened with Shakuntala Shetty or even Mariamma Thomas or Uma Bharati.

Sushma Swaraj is not an exception but she is a one-(wo)man army fighting odds. Shobha grew so far in politics due to her godfather (?) Yeddy and not because BJP wanted it. Secondly she comes from Dakshina Kannada which is not thought to be a bastion of political heavyweights in Karnataka. Politicians from North Karnataka rule the roost here and they have a distinct allergy for their counterparts from the South. And how can bear them if they become close to CM himself. It is the same reason why Dr Acharya too has become an apple of discord. Way to go Bahala Jagalagala Party! Shobhakka retired hurt by Reddy bouncer!

Fully agree with Thimmappa Shetty Puttur comments. Never read the book by its cover and never passs judgement on anybody's face. Overnight family memebers will not have bunglow's cars and all luxury. This is truth. When we hurt others we donot get pain but when others hurt us, then we donot forget it. Shoba, when u were in power, do you know how your statements has hurt others. Now the time for you to recollect.

I have no idea about the good work of Ms. Shoba as a minister. However, if she is hindering the Reddys, that itself is a good work and it is understandable why the Reddys cannot tolerate her. Reddys will not allow anyone to stand on their way and we taxpayers are the ultimate losers as long as this government is in power.

Yeddi's DHUMMIKKI HARIDA KANNEERA DHARE in front of TV cameras failed to melt the Reddys, Shobha tried to be mother in law (ATTE) of the cabinet but reddys are smart SOSEYANDIRU. however yeddi's action against Shobha never brings SHOBHE to his position, he sold his soul coz of KURCHI. we made a mistake by making him CM, only GOD can save Karnataka from the monkey fist of power hungry politicians.

Who says she was the lone woman in Yeddy cabinet? Actually she is the only man. The main reason for ouster is people couldn't digest her sudden growth. She couldv'e avoided limelight a little. Whatever she is personally, she was an efficient minister and worked hard during the last 1 yr. Hopefully central BJP leaders will use her talent. Those who are bashing her now definitely know that she is 1000 times better than the corrupt Reddy brothers.

Hard workers and good people do not servive in Indian Politics & society. Reddys are worried & scared about her growth and afraid that she would grab the CM chair in future... this is all connected to sefishness...do not forget that she is a mangalorean lady... always honest.

Those who are praising Shobha based on some media reports don't know how corrupt and aggressive this lady is. Shobha was good in "handling" media by giving advertisements for all and sundry events. And ask Mysore people on where hundreds of crores released for Dasara went and how Shobha handpicked contractors for Dasara. Also someone should report how Shobha's siblings who were in huts in Puttur now own lot of property. Don't create image of someone in your head based on what you see and hear in media.

Shoabakka, life moves on. Keep doing your good job for people in need. Politics is dirty game and all political people are communal probems makers. It is a good thing you are out from BJP. Enjoy your rest of good life without bad politics.

inspite of knowing that she is the root cause for all the dramas happening from last 15days, she took so long to resign.had she or the cm had little respect for the people who voted them for power, she should have stepped down long back and involved in flood relief works.

The cm is really shameless in safeguarding her for his personal interests. 56 mlas rested in a star hotel in hyderabad when the entire north karnataka needed them for flood releif works. I hope the people will teach them a good lesson.good luck cm, hope you realise your mistake and work for the state than allowing your family members to grab everything.
