Mangalore, Nov 7: District Congress Committee (DCC) holding a protest march against BJP led state government on Saturday November 7 urged the Governor of the state to intervene and take up necessary action to help the flood victims as well as for smooth administration

The protest march led by former union minister B Janardan Poojary, B Ramanatha Rai, president of DCC and State Youth Congress president Krishna Byre Gowda started from light house hill here and ended in front of the deputy commissioner’s office.

Addressing the rally, B Janardana Poojary said that the state government has become a place of unethical political activity. While the Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa is struggling to retain his power and on the other side the Reddy group is planning to pull CM down. So the all MLAs and ministers are involved in meetings to save the government and have completely neglected the flood relief works, which should have be given a high priority.

The power crisis in BJP is not unexpected and was predicted earlier at the time when it came to power, said Poojary. He added that the coming days will give a befitting reply to the BJP and people who supported the party that was behind violent attacks on churches and minority community.

Poojary also said that the people who voted for BJP are answerable as the ministers and MLAs are wasting their time in resorts when the people of north Karnataka are in streets or toiling hard due to effects of the flood.

Mulki-Moodbidri MLA Abhayachandra Jain, Mangalore MLA U T Khader, Vijayakumar Shetty,  Arun Coelho,  Naveen D’Souza, Dolphy Prashanth D’Souza and Harikrishna Bantwal, Congress leaders among others were present.

This is a serious issue , fool relief should have been given the top most priority , but the bjp was so much indulged in the blame game that they never got time to think about other things , when congress was ruling there was peace ,harmony amogst people and disipline was mantained all over the state , but as soon as bjp got power everything is upside down .it is like they where waiting for this over a decade to disrupt peace

Mr. Nitin Poojary, your are 100% correct. I have closely followed the political activity in Karnataka since 1971 and observed that Mr. Janardhan Poojary is one of the most non-corrupt and a sincere Congress leaders. Unfortunately, many from his own caste (Billawas) misunderstood him and voted for BJP and defeated him during the elections. Very sad thing indeed!

B.Janardan .Poojary is well qualified personality and an able leader. The problem here is that the majority of the Poojary's are not able to understand the politics. The day all the Poojary's of south kanara will understand the principles of B.J.Poojary, and then no other party can win in Mangalore.

Dear Prakash Poojary, Janardhan Poojary is a man of caliber unlike other politicians and C.M's in other parties who have SOLD THEIR SOULS for 'mining' money. Mr. Janardhan Poojary is a 'no- nonsense'and a 'non corrupt' leader who has stood the test of time and beeen with the people of Mangalore.I wish Yeddi, Acharya and Reddy's would have learnt a few good things from him.

Prakash Poojari You have mentioned below that you are ashamed of being a Poojary. Today I am proud to be a Poojary because of Janardhan poojary beacuse in todays dirty politics he is the only clean politicain.

These words i am not saying these words have been said by BJP leaders like Vajpayee & Yediyurrapa A) In 1991 election campaign was going on Vajpayee had come to Mangalore in his speech he told JANARDHAN POOJARY IS ONE OF THE SINCERE POLITICIAN BUT HE IS IN A WRONG PARTY THAT IS WHY A ASK PEOPLE OF MANGALORE TO VOTE FOR BJP. B)When U.T. Fareed MLA of Ulala died & there was by elections were going at that time Mr. Janardhan Poojary has commented against Mr. Yedivurappa regarding the then govt and when the press reporters asked Yedivurappa how do you comment to Mr.Poojary allegations his answer was " I HAVE GOOD RESPECT TO MR.POOJARY HE IS ONE OF THE FEW CLEAN POLITICIANS IN OUR COUNTRY SO I WOULD NOT LIKE TO COMMENT TO HIS ALLEGATIONS" and this interview I have seen in my own eyes in Udaya TV.

Mr. Prakash Poojary what else you want while two great BJP leaders is praising Mr.Janardhan Poojary you are below comments will not matter much. I am a billava and iam proud of it because someone from my community has given clean politician to the nation. After Janardhan Poojary entered politics people in our community started keeping the surname Poojary if you dont know this ask your elders.

Why Kannada Sangha, Kannada Hitha Rakshana Vedike and other Kannada related organizations are not protesting against this crisis that was caused due to telugu reddy's. Where is Bajj's and Rama Sene who protest for some silly things, but don't come front when India's natural resources are getting destroyed by reddy miners. Daijiworld, How NRI's can help to remove reddy's from power and save our natural resources. How can we save our western ghats, India's rivers and thereby to save my mother land?.

Yet again, Congress in Karnataka is proving that they are only for power and not for the common man. This was the reason for their defeat in the state. People are educated and can see that Congress drag the issue for political gains instead of helping the needy. If Congress wants to win, they better get their acts and facts straights

Another political drama to score cheap brownie points. If Congress is so concerned about the suffering of the people, they should be directly undertaking relief work in the affected areas. Protest marches in Mangalore result in nothing but public nuisance to Mangaloreans.

Will shouting here will have any affect on those who are suffering at the flood effected areas. Form into groups and go to the people in the effected areas, listern to their problems and help them in whatever way possible. That will serve the real purpose otherwise its a waste of time and money.

BJP govt collected thousands of crores of rupees for the development of flood victims and not fulfilling their responsibility instead they are only to save their chairs. No politicans take care of the deprived and effected poor people instead they take care of yourself. Atleast DCC has raised their voice
