I J C holds Winter Olympics 2009

Mumbai, Nov 3: I J C Winter Olympic, an annual fun-filled extravaganza organized by the Infant Jesus Youth Association Dombivli here on Sunday November 1 and brought together the entire Infant Jesus church community to enjoy a day filled with games and fun, in the spirit of fair play and teamwork.

The day started with mass as part of All Saints’ Day and later with a colourful parade and flags by the teams (zones) flagged off by parish priest Fr Peter D’Cunha and assistant Fr Jeffrey D’Souza.

A well-organized games programme was held for the parishners above 26 years of age the I JC youth with the help of sponsors from parish community organized the event with great success. There were outdoor games like box cricket (men) , dodge-ball (women) and bucketball (men and women) as well as indoor games, carrom , team bowling and quiz.
