Tonse Jayakrishna A Shetty, managing director of the metro-based Kanaka Infratech Limited, and founder of Jayasrikrishna Parisara Premi Samiti, an NGO, was elected as its president, here on Thursday October 29.
 
Jayakrishna A Shetty has been a successful young entrepreneur and son of Annayya and Padumane Kanaka Shetty couple, residents of Tonse village, in Udupi district.  He had completed high school studies at his native Tonse and got his B E degree through a renowned engineering college in the metro. 

His concern for the youngsters in his native place and development of undivided Dakshina Kannada (DK) district, inspired him to set up Jayasrikrishna Parisara Premi Samiti, by uniting the leaders of various communities of the undivided DK district.
 
His father, the late Annayya Shetty, was a teacher, who had shaped a bright future for several students, while Jayakrishna’s mother, Kanaka Shetty, was a devout woman, whom her son Jayakrishna, has imbibed as his role model in establishing a company ‘Kanaka Infratech Limited’ in her name. This company has provided several employment opportunities to the people of DK origin in the metro.
 
Jayakrishna is a philanthropist, who generously contributes for temple renovation works in undivided DK district.  He is settled in the suburban Andheri (west), along with his wife, Shobha J Shetty and two sons.
