Dubai: SMKC’s Konkan Showers-2009 to Present Adolf’s ‘Team Ye Mana’

Dubai, Oct 13: St Mary’s Konkan Community [SMKC] Dubai is all set for its prestigious annual fund rising event ‘Konkan Showers – 2009’,  a Konkani ‘Dine & Dance’ evening at Al Bustan Rotana Hotel here on Thursday October 15 from 8:30 pm onwards.

It will be an exceptional opportunity for the Konkani music lovers of UAE to witness the contemporary and eminent singer of Mangalore, Adolf Jayathilak, who will be beguiling the audience with his brilliant musical band ‘Team Ye Mana’, stated Jerina Lewis in a media release by SMKC. 

Growing familiar in and around Mangalore and Gulf with his several shows earlier,  Adolf Jayathilak has imprinted a special place in the hearts of Konkani music fans with his melodious and influential singing. In 80s his band Phoenix was admired by numerous populace in Mangalore. With his new album, Adolf dared to show great diversity in Konkani music. Adolf has formed ‘Ye Mana’, the first-ever Konkani solo music album which was released in December 2007 and has attained a special place in the hearts of every listener. 

Now, Adolf with his team comprising talented singers, musicians and dancers known as ‘Team Ye Mana’ arriving to rock Dubai with their versatile and varied music ranging from soft rock to pop and bhangra to baila.


 

Popular dance team ‘Naach Sobhann’ team will be led by Avil D’Cruz. Dance team will have dancers Anil Spinoza, Shalini D’Souza, Lisa Carlo, Marula Gibson and Snehith Lobo. 


Alwyn Fernandes, a brilliant composer, arranger, one of the most talented young film music directors and an accomplished guitarist will enthrall with his magic fingers.

Well known music director Roshan D’souza will lead the team of musicians from Mangalore and Cochin. Lyrics of each song are aptly written by Team Ye Mana’s proficient lyricist Lloyd Rego.  

Rison on flute/saxophone and Sunil Kumar on percussion both from Cochin will add zing to the music team. Richard Monteiro on keyboards, Melwyn Rodrigues on drums, Ashith Pinto on bass will be a feast to all music lovers. 


No introduction is required for Lulu who is known as Goa’s nightingale will be another star attraction. Upcoming young talents Ammabelle and Vijay Vas who are now trendy singers in Mangalore will also join the party to complete the team. 
 

 

Richard Louis, popularly known as Richy, a story, screen play and dialogue writer and a well known theatre actor personality from Bangalore will entertain the audience with his hilarious comedy. Known in the industry for more than 30 years he is one of the most sought after theatre personality.
