Abu Dhabi, Oct 5: Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha has geared up for Karnataka Rajyotsava celebration at India Social and Cultural Centre here on November 6 from 10 am to 5 pm. 
 
Speaking to Daijiworld, Sarvothama Shetty president of the sangha informed that the event will be presided by B R Shetty couple, patron, UAE Kannadigas. As a special attraction witty and humorous talks by Basavaraj Mahamuni, Gulbarga is organized. The programme also includes variety of Kannada dances, group songs, Kannada skits, spot and raffle prizes.

Further, in order to encourage young talent and specially to inspire students, the sangha has decided to honour Kannadiga students who have excelled in various fields during the Karnataka Rajyotsava celebration.

Students of 10th and 12th Grade who has scored 90% or above in the Board Examination of 2008-2009, students who have excelled in sports and represented their school in India or abroad and thereby earned gold, slver or bronze medals, students who have excelled in extra-curricular activities (literary, arts and quiz) and earned recognition from the prominent authorities in India or abroad and students who have earned HH Shaikh Hamdan Award, Dubai or Sharjah Award can kindly email the details to Sarvothama Shetty at sarvo@eim.ae
