Idol of Goddess Durga Worshipped at Saraswat Cultural Centre Immersed

Mumbai, Oct 3: Saraswat Cultural Centre, Dahisar suburban in the metro, celebrated Navaratri in a grand manner, by installing and worshipping an idol of Goddess Durga for the second year in succession. Various cultural and religious programmes were organized during the Navaratri days, under the banner of GSB Seva Sabha.


During the last year, the celebrations for the first’s year, held under the leadership of S Manohar V Kamat, were initiated by Sri Sudhindrateertha Swamiji, spiritual head of Kashi Mutt Samsthan. Various forms of puja to the Goddess were performed on day-to-day basis. On Monday September 29, the idol was taken in a grand procession that moved through N L complex, GSB Sabha office, Sri Vittal Rukmai Temple, Bhuvanendra Society, Link Road, Anand Nagar Road, Bharucha Road, Dahisar Subway and Kandarpada Dahisar, before the it was immersed in Dahisar tank.
