Yuvraj out of Champions Trophy with Broken Finger


Johannesburg, Sep 23 (IANS) India's middle-order batsman Yuvraj Singh has been ruled out of the Champions Trophy with a finger injury and will be replaced by Virat Kohli.

Yuvraj injured the little finger of his right hand during a practice session Wednesday and will be out for six weeks. He couldn't participate in the batting and bowling sessions which were conducted later in the day.

India have been dogged with injury problems and opening batsman Gautam Gambhir was also nursing a groin strain ahead of the tournament.

Gambhir's opening partner Virender Sehwag and fast bowling spearhead Zaheer Khan are also missing the tournament due to injuries.
