Dubai: SFX Kutam Mudarangady Celebrates Nativity Feast

Reported By: Vipin D’souza, Mudarangadi- Dubai

Dubai, Sep 20: It was Friday September 18 an evening symbolizing a precise blend of solemnity and merriment. SFX Kutam, Mudarangadi celebrated 'Monthi Fest', a family festival of love, peace and emotions.

The celebration was held at Winny’s Restaurant Karama in the evening from 6 pm to11 pm in the night. The programme began with prayer and children offering most beautiful flowers to Infant Mary, adults following them and singing the hymn ‘Sakkad Sangatha Mellieam Ani Morieak Hogolxieam’, followed with everyone consuming the Blessed new crop in milk while thanking and praising Mother Mary.

President Canute Mathias welcomed and addressed the gathering with Saritha D’Souza and Leslie D’Souza conducting the entire programme. There were variety of activities like dance, skit and games put together to entertain children and adults.

Walter Nandalike and Michael Castelino of Daijiworld spoke on the occasion and solicited support to Daijiworld print media.

Monthi Fest, a unique Mangalorean tradition, has a tremendous significance to all Catholics, universally. The festivity was attended in large numbers by the association members and their families and was truly a family gathering for SFX KUTAM and an evening to remember.
