Dubai, Sep 13: The Iftar Party 2009 was conducted at the Sudanese Social Club Hall here on Friday September 11. After the Maghrib prayers, around 700 people gathered for the party attended scholarship contribution function held on the occasion.

The function began with Quran recitation by Abdul Rahim Kodi. Dr B K Yusuf, president of Bearys Cultural Forum addressed the gathering and conveyed his best Ramadan wishes and also informed all the people to contribute wholeheartedly for the education of the poor Muslim population of the coastal Karnataka.

Speaking on the occasion, Hassan Darvish, chairman, Mega Star Group of Companies conveyed his best wishes and urged fellow men to do good deeds in the holy month of Ramadan. He said that in this time of recession, he was willing to help anyone who wanted a job.

































The committee placed on record the contribution of all the delegates and all the members and the committee stated that this will always be admired and remembered and may the almighty “Allah” shower his gracious blessings to all of them at all times.

Seeraj, chariman, Waris Group of Companies, Dr Salim, Crescent English High School, Dr Sameer, A K Sulaiman, director, Al Rafa Bank, M K Beary, president, DKSC, N K Mohammed Shafi, Saadiya Educational Foundation, Bangalore, Aboo Salih, Saleem Altaf, M E Moolur, Latif Mulky, Zafer Saddique, representative of Asyha Educational Trust and Abdul Razak among others graced the occasion as guests.

General Secretary Dr Kaup Mohammed presented the scholarship details to the audience. N K Mohammed Shafi delivered an Islamic lecture. Ibrahim Dubal conducted Islamic quiz and on the spot prizes were handed over to the winners. Badruddin offered condolence dua to the families whose near and dear ones have passed away in the recent past.



Ibrahim Beary’s son Ehsan Hassan Ibrahim received the Best Athlete Award at the National Level Sports Championship held in Bangalore. BCF is also envisaging avenues to boost sports activities amongst the Muslim population. BCF has consented to support Dr Veerendra Hegde of Dharmasthala Educational Trust and Dr Mohan Alva of Alva’s Educational Trust, Moodbidri in their venture to conduct Vishwa Tulu Sammelan in the UAE.  The Government of Karnataka’s Public Accounts Committee (22 delegates) comprising MLAs, MLC, gazetted officers were felicitated by the BCF.

 BCF plans to provide scholarship to more than 250 poor and needy students in a function scheduled to be held at Mangalore. The event was sponsored by Ibrahim Janahee, Dr B K Yusuf,  Aboo Salih , M E Moolur,  Altaf,  Shabbir Hussain (from Tiffany), Ashraf, from Alokozay Tea,  Latif Mulky and Mohammed Shahada Noor among others.
