I am extremely happy to see that Father Muller''s Hospital is forging ahead in various ways in a variety of programmes. The Surgical Education Program is the need of the day for people to understand and absorb the meaning of surgery. I am also glad to see Dr. Venkat Rao''s name is kept up as the program was organized by The department of surgery - DR. VENKAT RAO MEMORIAL SURGICAL QUIZ. I was closely associated with Dr. Venkar Rao during his tenure at FMCI where he was surgeon of repute and what is more is that he was looked upon as a physician too. When I served Father Muller''s as a Governing Board Member Dr. Venkat Rao was a friend and guide to me. It was very unfortunate that he was snatched away from us by an untimely death. It is good to see that Mr. Gopal Hasur drawing a parallel between surgery and policing both disciplines working for the common good of the people in general. My good wishes will continue to be with Father Muller''s and the team working under the leadership of Father Patrick Rodrigues ably assisted by by Father Stany Tauro, Father Denis D''Sa and others.
