Bangalore: Non-bailable Arrest Warrant Against MLA Renukacharya

Bangalore, Sep 11: Honnali MLA Renukacharya of the BJP, who already has a handful of problems at hand, mostly relating to his erratic behaviour, has another problem on hand. The fifth ACMM Court has, through a non-bailable warrant, ordered for the production of Renakacharya before the eighth ACMM Court before September 14. The case with the fifth ACMM Court has been transferred to the eighth court because of technical reasons.

Jayalakshmi, a nurse, reportedly had tried to commit suicide after her love life with Renukacharya had broken down. She had written in the suicide note that she was committing suicide because of mental torture meted out by MLA Renukacharya.

A case was registered in this respect, at Chandra Lay Out police station. The policemen, after initially hesitating to name Renukacharya as the abettor of suicide, later relented and named him as the accused in the case. After the policemen filed charge sheet in the fifth ACMM Court, Renukacharya failed to appear before the court. As he failed to be present in the court even after a warrant was issued, non-bailable warrant has now been issued.

Issuance of non-bailable warrant against some ministers and MLAs is becoming normal. That also shows where our netas are heading for? But nothing can be done when voters are electing leaders who have record of criminal cases booked against them.
