Bangalore, Sep 10: Mangalore Christians in and around Jayanagar area celebrated "Monti Fest" at Christha Prabhaalaya Church, Jayanagar, Bangalore on Tuesday, September 8.



The feast started at 4pm by blessing of the "Novem" and garlanding and showering flowers to Mother Mary followed by procession to the church. Mass in Konkani was celebrated by Fr Lawrence Sequeira, Fr Arul Sampath, parish priest, Christha Prabhaalaya, Jayanagar, Fr Pascal Cutinha, asst parish priest, and Deacon Manoj D'souza and more than 650 devotees participated in the celebration.

President A S Almeida thanked the donors and the choir group members and all those responsible for successfully celebrating the feast. Sugarcane and sweets were distributed to all devotees after the mass.
