Kuwait: Agnesian Alumnae Announces Throwball Tournament- 2009

Media Release

Kuwait, Sep 10: After the success of our maiden Womens' Thowball Tournament in December 2008, the Agnesian Alumnae Kuwait (AAK) announces the Womens' Throwball Tournament 2009 on Friday, 16th October ’09. This is an open invitation to all women folk of Indian nationality to come forward and register for the AAK Womens’ Throwball Tournament 2009.

Having a dual motto of supporting education of students of our Alma-Mater and encouraging members to participate in activities, AAK strives to create a platform to exhibit their talents through different activities. As AAK participated in various Throwball tournaments, it was observed that several enthusiastic teams comprising of younger players had the interest to play the sport but lacked the technical know-how, knowledge of the correct rules and tricks of playing the game. Hence, AAK will be organising a complimentary coaching session for all registered teams, to create an opportunity to learn the right technique of playing the game. This effort would raise the bar of performance by all participating teams creating scope for an exciting tournament.

The Tournament will be conducted on Friday 16th October 2009 at the Indian Community School Kuwait (ICSK) ground, Salmiya from 08:30am onwards.

Last date for registration is 01 October 2009.
