Mangalore, Sep 8: The main celebrant of the mass held on the occasion of Monti Fest at St Lawrence Church, Bondel in the city, was Fr Antony Serrao, parish priest.

Around 4,000 persons had gathered at the church hall today at about 8 am to celebrate the festival. After the children offered flower to Mother Mary, the procession was led by Bondel Church Choir and Harry Traditional Brass Band.

After the solemn mass, the blessed corn and sugarcane were distributed to all those present.
