New Delhi, Aug 10: After the draw for the Nehru Cup Football Tournament has been released, it seems that last-minute addition Palestine may end up sending a club team.

Palestine, which replaced Thailand in the last minute, may send for the tournament Jerusalem-based Hilal Al Quds, which finished ninth in the West Bank Premier League.

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) had incidentally rejected Thailand after they were planning to send a under-19 team for the Nehru Cup that will be played here at the Ambedkar Stadium Aug 19-31.

AIFF general secretary Alberto Colaco wouldn't deny the report.

"I am forwarding the e-mail to the FIFA agent who arranged the team and to the Palestine Football Association. I will get back to you after I receive their reply," Colaco was qouted as saying by Indianfootball.com.

But some top members of the AIFF were unhappy at the turn of events.

A top official told IANS said that how could the AIFF confirm Palestine as a participant without getting any official confirmation from the country's football association.
