The Swamiji was not keeping well for many days and was in the state of `nirahara’ (without taking food) for some days. He breathed his last at about 3.30 pm at Gurudeva Ashrama at Devara Gudde in Kalmaja village, this evening.

Impressed by the personality of Nityananda Swami in 1947, Atmananda Swamiji had joined as his  disciple a and served with him for 15 long years. In 1989 he came to Kanyadi and established Niityananda Mandira. The temple Rama kshetra was inaugurated in 2003.

Harikrishna Bantwal, Spokesperson, Billava Mahamandala described his death as a big loss to the community as well as to the devotees of Rama Ksetra in Kanyadi. “His achievements just like his simplicity are manifold and remarkable and calls for emulation by others”, she retorted.

A GREAT LOSS FOR THE SOCEITY. I HAD A CHANCE TO MEET HIM ON HIS BAHRAIN VISIT WHICH WAS ORGANISED BY SHRI GURU SEVA SAMITHI OF BAHRAIN. HE WAS A TRUE GURU ON ALL RESPECT. HE WAS STRONGLY BELIEVING ON THE SOCEITY WILL GROW NOT ONLY WITH THE SPIRITUAL WAY BUT EDUCATION ALSO MUST GO ALONGWITH. HIS STRUGGLE WAS ALL ALONGWITH THE POOR STUDENTS. HIS OWN MADE ORGANISATION AT DHARMASTALA IS TRUE EXAMPLE. I HAD ONE MORE OPPORTUNITY TO ACCOMPANY HIM ON HIS DISCOURSE AT SREE NARAYANA CULTURAL SOCEITY (KERALITES ASSOC.)IN THIS ORGANISATION THERE WERE TWO GROUP. SWAMIJI''S CALL FOR A UNITY WAS REMARKABLE ON THIS ISSUE AND IT WAS MEMORABLE EVENT.IN HIS BROKEN MALAYALAM LANGUAGE HE WAS APPEALING THE GATHERING TO UNITE FOR THE NOBLE CAUSE. MAY GOD SHOWER PEACE ON HIS SOUL RAMESH MANJESHWAR
