Srinath Denies Blaming Dhoni for India's World Twenty20 Debacle

New Delhi, Jun 16: Former fast bowler Javagal Srinath Tuesday denied reports that he blamed India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni's fallout with the media as the reason behind the defending champions' early exit from World Twenty20.

"I wish to clarify that I have been quoted out of context by the contents taken out of a television discussion. I have only spoken to a television channel and those contents were distorted and reproduced in media," Srinath said in a statement.

The British media reported Srinath, who is an International Cricket Council (ICC) Match Referee, saying that Dhoni's poor response to the media on his deputy Virender Sehwag's injury unsettled the Indian team.
