Saina, Sridhar Bow out in Singapore Open Quarters

New Delhi, Jun 13: Saina Nehwal and Anup Sridhar bowed out of the Aviva Singapore Open Super Series badminton after losing their respective quarterfinal matches Friday.

Sridhar, who upset second seed and World No.2 Peter Gade Thursday, went down 11-21,

8-21 to Thailand's Boonsak Ponsana.

Sixth seed Saina put up a strong fight against third seed Chinese Lin Wang, but lost

21-19, 19-21, 14-21 in an almost hour-long contest.
