Mangalore: PA College Becomes First NBA Accredited Eng College in DK

Mangalore, May 30:
  All India Council for Technical Education has accredited P A College of  Engineering (PACE)  as per the  recommendation from the National Board of Accreditation (NBA)  team, said Dr P A Ibrahim, chairman of the P A College of Education on Saturday, on May 30.
 
Addressing a press conference, he said that  by getting the accreditation from NBA, P A College has become the first  accredited engineering college in  Dakshina Kannada District. By this the students studying  in the college will get the international recognition.


`The NBA expert team which had been to this college gathered information about the  college, faculty and other aspects with the teaching-learning process’ said Dr P A Ibrahim.
 
The students who  join P A college will get benefits of the accreditation as per the Washington accord. The Washington accord is an international recognition honored by  12 nations, he explained. The college has stepped  into its 10th year.

The College is going for increase in intake and starting two additional courses 1. Civil Engineering, 2. Electrical and Electronics Engineering and also a Post Graduation course (M.Tech) will be started from next academic year (2010-11).
 
Dr S A Khan, Principal, PACE , Ahmed Kutty, finance manager, K M Haneef, Administrator of the college, Prof Ganesh Aithal, Vice-principal also present at the press meet.
