Mangaluru: Tulu comedy serial ‘Kan Kat’ to be aired on Daijiworld TV soon

Mangaluru, Jul 2: Daijiworld 24x7 infotainment TV channel, which is known for multi-lingual entertainment, especially Kannada, Konkani and Tulu, will present a pure comedy serial featuring noted artistes from the coastal region.

Tulunada Ratna fame director and actor, Dinesh Attavar has conceptualized serial which is named ‘Kan Kat’. The team behind the serial has already completed shooting and is under post-production work at present. The serial is produced by Daijiworld TV 24*7 channel under its home banner.

Noted cine artistes Aravind Bolar, Sathish Bandale and Lakshman Kumar Mallur are playing the lead in the serial. Every episode has a moral message packed with comedy entertainment. Well-known artistes of the coastal region Ln Kishore D Shetty, Ravi Surathkal, Ranjan Bolur, Vikram Manchi, Rakesh Katapadi, Sujatha Shakthinagar, Sunitha Ekkur, Rohini Jagaram, Prashanth Bhat Kinnigoli and others are also in the cast of ‘Kan Kat’.

Along with direction, Dinesh Attavar has written the script and dialogues for the serial.

The cinematography of the serial is handled by the talented Ranjan Shirva and Durgaprasad Kakkepadavu. Well-known photo journalist Dayanand Kukkaje is also part of this serial as a technical advisor. Nisar Ahmed is the unit in-charge, while Praveen Tauro has assisted in PRO works of the project.

Noted musician and composer Salam Maroli has composed the background score and music for the title song, while singer Milan Acharya has lent his voice. Noel D’Souza Puttur will edit the serial, while dubbing will be done at Daijiworld Audio Visual Studio by Srinivas. The ambient lights have been provided by Daijiworld Outdoor Unit.

Suhasini Babbukatte, Jayanth Babbukatte, Rekharaj Babbukatte and Roopa D Baindoor have lent their support for the serial with location and hospitality.

The script of serial ‘Kan Kat’ is purely based on comedy incidents around a business unit. Aravind Bolar has acted throughout the serial in the lead role, supported by Sathish Bandale. The serial also has a story part which reveals affection towards children, who stay away from their parents for various reasons. More than 25 artistes of coastal Karnataka have acted in the serial. The episodes are shot at various areas of Kuttar, Babbukatte and Bondel. As soon as the post-production of the serial is over, Daijiworld TV 24*7 will announce the much-awaited date of telecasting.
