Mumbai, Apr 27:
The metro’s ‘dabbawalas’ started their campaign from the office of Priya Dutt at Bandra here on Saturday April 25. The dabbawala's placed their trademark Nehru cap on Priya's head and also garlanded her.

As Priya campaigned along the streets of Bandra, the dabbawalas raised slogans for her victory.

“We are supporting Priya as she works equally hard for the people of all religions, similar to how we deliver ‘dabbas’ to people without discrimination on the basis of religion”, said Shankar, a dabbawala.

”We want an educated and cultured candidate in the Parliament”, echoed another.

“Mumbai ka neta kaisa ho, Priya Dutt jaisa ho” and “Ek do teen Char... Priya Dutt phir ek baar” were the slogans raised by the dabbawalas’ on the streets of Bandra.

”I am happy that the dabbawalas have supported me in my campaign. Their administrative skills are recognized in Harvard and Oxford universities and we can all learn from them. I myself can use some of their tips”, said Priya Dutt.

The dabbawalas also gifted Priya a dabba which she was very happy to receive.

Priya smiled and said, “This is the best campaign I have ever gone through”.
