Mumbai, Apr 21:  Sheila Dixit, Chief Minister of Delhi, addressed a public meeting organized in support of  Congress candidate  Priya Dutt in Powai on the evening of Monday April 20.

She mesmerized the 8000-strong crowd with her oratory skills and her capacity to establish instant contact with the audience

"The government's dream of  turning Mumbai into Shanghai is becoming a reality with several highways, flyovers, skywalks etc., being built in Mumbai. The work on the metro rail is also in progress." said Dixit.

The government at the centre as well as Maharashtra have fulfilled most of the  promises made by them  in their  manifestoes, she claimed.

She urged the people to support Priya and send her to the parliament for another term. “Priya is like my daughter, she may be young but her work is issue-based and she is a very committed social worker," said the Delhi Chief Minister.

Dixit also recollected Priya's pilgrimage-on-foot (Paadyatra) to Amritsar with her father, the late Sunil Dutt who was an MP of the party and Dutt Saab's committed work for the  society and the nation.

Congress candidate Priya Dutt and minister Naseem Khan also spoke on the occasion.
