Panaji: Keralite arrested for Alleged Child Molestation

Panaji, Mar 26: The Goa police have arrested a youth, originally hailing from Kerala and currently working in Goa, on charges of molesting a four-year old girl at Saligao village, located about 10 kms away from here.

According to a complaint filed with the Calangute police, Mansoor Mohammad, a youth in his mid-20s, allegedly molested the girl, when she was playing in her residential complex area.

The incident occurred on Tuesday March 24, and the accused reportedly fled after having been spotted by a local woman, who raised an alarm, the policemen said.

The  Calangute police after receiving the complaint, arrested the accused on Wednesday.

The police said, the girl is being subjected to medical examinations to verify the genuineness of the complaint and that the accused has been booked under the Goa Children's Act.
