CCBI Organizes National Symposium on Church’s Social Doctrine

Mumbai, Mar 19:
A national symposium on ‘The Church’s Social Doctrine on the Civilization of Peace, Commitment to the Common good in a World of Economic, Political, and Social Conflicts’, was held at St Pius College, Goregaon, recently. 


It was conducted under the auspices of the Theological and Doctrinal Commission of the Conference of Catholic Bishops of India (CCBI).
 
The symposium highlighted various issues like poverty and human rights violations especially discrimination of Dalit Christians by the state, within the Church, and in society, attacks against human life especially the move towards legalizing euthanasia, economic and social injustices, as well as war and terrorism.
